May 7, 1999, will be a memorable day for DDA Classic Airlines. PH-DDZ took to the skies for the first time. The aircraft has undergone a transformation in 12 years that no one thought possible. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, this aircraft has been transformed from an old workhorse into a DC-3 in nearly new condition. The representative of Boeing, McDonnell-Douglas’s licensee, stated characteristically that the last DC-3 was built in Holland.
