There had been a desire to add a second Dakota for some time. After a two-year search, a suitable aircraft is found in 1987 in Malta. In May of the same year, PH-DDZ landed at Schiphol-East. With the intention of preserving this aircraft for a long time, the technical department began a complete overhaul with great enthusiasm. It would eventually last 12 years.
